There are tons of little nods to the holidays throughout the film that can serve as a fun little “I spy” game when you’re watching blazed.
Black Christmas
Horror movies on Christmas may sound a little out of the ordinary, but the genre knows no bounds. Set on a college campus just before the holiday break, a sorority girl goes missing, sparking a series of murders by a black-masked stalker. Little do they know, the university is keeping a dark secret. This is one of the best holiday movies on Neflix and is just creepy enough that you’ll be looking over your shoulder at frat parties (and when walking home alone) for a while.
The Krampus
Essentially the opposite of Saint Nicholas, the Krampus is a figure in Austrian, German, Hungarian, Slovenian, and the Czech Republic folklore who punishes naughty children during the holiday season. This horror film brought the lesser-known holiday character to the mainstream and will change the way you think of Christmas forever.
