📚Bubblers 101:

Once upon a time, an unknown 420 master crafted a piece that’s portable and easy to use like a pipe, but has the water filtration power of a bong. And thus, the bubbler was born, and it has only grown more and more popular over the last few years. But what really is a bubbler, and why should you use one? Find out here! ⬇️

⚗️ How does a bubbler work?

If you’ve ever seen something that looked like a pipe with a double-chin, that chubby little friend was a bubbler. Although bubblers come in all shapes and sizes (#bodypositive) they all contain a chamber under the bowl which holds water. You light the contents of the bowl and cover the finger carb just as you would in a pipe, but as air flows through, the water underneath begins to bubble, diffusing and purifying smoke and vapors just like a bong. If you want the best of both worlds, a bubbler may be the best smoking accessory for you.

🤷 Why use a bubbler?

  • Portable - most are small enough to fit in any bag, purse, or backpack; since most bubblers are made of one solid piece of glass, there are no removable parts to accidentally leave behind at your friend’s house
  • Smooth, filtered hits - the water in the lower chamber bubbles and filters tar, ash, and other toxins from the water in the same way a bong does
  • Handheld - perfect for passing around a campfire
  • Beautiful - much like pipes, bubblers come in many colorful and creative designs, so you’re sure to find one that goes with your personal style

👍 Choose the best bubbler for you

  • Hammer bubblers have a flat bottom on the chamber, which allows you to set it upright on a table more easily (not for use in home improvement projects)
  • Double bubblers have two chambers where water can filter and cool the smoke, creating hits that are twice as fresh and smooth - double whammy!
  • Sherlock bubblers have an S-shaped stem just like Mr. Holmes’ favorite, giving them a little more a classy look. Elementary, my dear Watson.
  • Pendant bubblers are smaller and have a hole where you can put a chain or string to wear the bubbler as an accessory. Because why not?
  • Sidecar bubblers actually have the bowl and water chamber off to the side from the main stem, which creates a unique look.
  • Concentrate bubblers are especially designed for use with concentrated waxes.
