Mind-blowing movies
Mind-blowing movies
Inception
Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) has the rare ability to enter a person’s dream and steal their subconscious thoughts and secrets. He takes up the impossible task of planting an idea in someone’s head but battles an enemy every step of the way. This movie is trippy and very thought-provoking - if you’re feeling frisky, try an edible before watching to really set the mood.
The Butterfly Effect
Ashton Kutcher plays Evan Treborn, a college student that experiences headaches and often blacks out because of it. While unconscious, Evan is able to travel back to moments in time and alter the past, however, this comes with consequences. Ashton Kutcher surprises us all with this serious character role, a departure from the comedies we usually see him in. This is one of the best movies to watch high so you can ponder the deeper meaning behind the story.
Black Swan
Natalie Portman (Nina) and Mila Kunis (Lily) are ballerinas that are competing with one another for the role of the white swan in the production “Swan Lake”. As Nina starts to unravel and her dark side emerges this movie will be sure to keep you on your toes, just don’t get too high and try anything crazy like the pointe technique! The amazing visuals and sound effects will be amplified too once your head is doing pirouettes high in the clouds, enjoy!
Movies To Smoke Along With
Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle
Brace yourself as Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) get high one day while watching a commercial for burgers at White Castle. Set out on an adventure, Harold and Kumar get more than they signed themselves up for when a fiasco of events ensues on their way to the burger joint. This movie is hilarious because it’s so relatable how every errand you run while high feels like a huge mission. Set up your snack scene ahead of time, because this movie will probably have you craving a joint and a burger!
Mac and Devin Go To High School
Arguably one of the most iconic cannabis duos, Wiz Khalifa (Devin) is a high school nerd and sets out to help Snoop Dogg (Mac), a long term high school student, finally graduate. Mac introduces Devin to cannabis and a string of crazy events occur, so make sure a few joints are rolled and the bong is packed so everyone can enjoy this masterpiece as it should be, super baked.
Half Baked
When a guy gets arrested for feeding a New York City police horse and killing it, his friends set out to raise money for his bail. They set out to sell stolen pot from a pharmaceutical lab, and although it sounds sketchy AF it makes for great comedy. This is the perfect movie to unwind to at the end of the day and get half baked (most likely completely baked, let’s be real).
Oldies but goodies
Sixteen Candles
Take it back to the 80’s with this classic gem starring Molly Ringwald, a typical angsty teen that is dreading her birthday, which has been overshadowed by her older sister’s wedding. This is a great movie to toke up to and zone out, it’s more of a nostalgic movie than anything.
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion
Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) are ten years out of high school and about to attend their high school reunion. While their friendship and personal lives are as strong and fierce as their personalities, their professional lives are lacking. When the pair creates an extravagant lie to impress their classmates at the reunion, things spiral out of control. This is a classic 90’s film and the outfits alone make it a must-see. Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are a great combo to watch and we suggest donning your best 90’s inspired outfit to really set the mood before you blaze up.
Coneheads
This movie has got to be one of the weirdest comedies but in the best way. An alien couple with cone-shaped heads were accidentally ditched on Earth and forced to adjust to having children in a new world. Later on, their planet returns and they are forced to show where their allegiance lies. After watching this movie you’ll still be replaying scenes in your head years later and laughing at birth spasm scene. You can’t possibly watch this movie sober.
