Collection: Delta 8 Cartridges

The convenience and discretion of vaping makes this pastime activity one of the easiest ways to consume cannabis whenever and wherever. Pre-filled delta 8 THC cartridges are a desirable form of the cannabinoid that is also legal in the majority of states, making it so simple to order online and ship directly to your door. Delta 8 cartridges (carts for short) are containers that are pre-filled with delta 8 THC, along with other cannabinoids and terpenes to enhance flavor profiles. A delta 8 cart can be specifically designed to fit a vape pen’s battery tank or come in a disposable pen that already has a delta 8 cart attached. Most delta 8 thc vape carts are made to fit 510 thread batteries for the ease and simplicity of having backup battery brands to keep the vape sesh going. It is always best to double check that the delta 8 cart you’d like to use is compatible with the battery tank you have, but the versatility of using different vape mods and carts is what attracts 710 enthusiasts the most. Everyone loves a buildable high! Delta 8 THC vape carts are usually the more affordable choice as opposed to using disposables constantly - and better for the environment with less waste! Not all delta 8 cartridges are the same, so it is best to use a trusted brand and purchase from a familiar website for the most authentic and reputable products. A delta 8 cart is a stress-free experience to use because once you’re done with it, just replace it with a new cart! To properly dispose of a delta 8 cart and battery, it is best to look up “hazardous disposal near me” or “battery recycling near me” in your local area and call ahead to verify they are able to accept any waste.

What is delta 8? How is delta 8 created?

Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, or delta-8 thc for short, is found in both hemp and marijuana plants that are both part of the cannabis plant family. Delta 8 is often referred to as “diet weed” compared to its delta-9 family member that we all know as THC, because delta 8 does not have nearly as much of the psychoactive component that delta 9 does. Many are attracted to delta 8 THC because of the lighter effects it has on the mind and body than a typical delta 9 THC high, allowing users to be more functional while still being able to vape for a little buzz. While considered a naturally occurring cannabinoid, delta 8 is often created in laboratories and can be an affordable option to produce. Since all cannabinoids have a very similar molecular structure, delta 8 is usually converted from other cannabinoids like CBD and even delta-9.

The process of creating delta 8 THC is called isomerization, which is a chemical process done in laboratories with two similar compounds with the same chemical composition and transforms one into the other. This process is also used when creating new cannabinoid strains or recreating rare strains from similar but common compounds. The process for delta 8 THC conversion is mostly used with hemp-derived plants to maintain legal amounts of THC content, but can often be converted from delta 9 surpluses for slightly stronger THC remediation results. While it is possible to find delta 8 in cannabis plants there will only be small amounts of it and isomerization is an affordable way to successfully perform THC remediation processes. It is important to note that while some enthusiasts try to attempt isomerization and THC remediation at home, it is best to either conduct this in a certified laboratory and with a certified chemist that is familiar working with different solvents and acid combinations.

How do delta 8 cartridges work?

Using a vape pen for the first time can be a thrilling but confusing experience if you have not a clue on how the battery or vape cart functions. While you do not have to be an expert on how to use a delta 8 cartridge, it is most helpful to understand how delta 8 carts work to best utilize a vape pen. All you need is the components of a vape pen, which is the battery and the vape cart. If you are using a disposable vape pen, the battery and cartridge will already be attached to one another so you’re already one step ahead and ready to begin.

Depending on the vape setup you have in front of you, vape cartridges tend to range from low potency to high potency - delta 8 vape carts should land somewhere in the middle. For example, high potency would be straight delta-9 THC cartridges, while low potency would be CBD vape carts. Delta 8 cartridges are looked at as more of a middle man where the psychoactive effect won’t make you ridiculously high, making it a worthwhile purchase for the vape users that must stay functional by omitting the potency of THC. Cartridges can only work properly with a charged up and compatible battery, and the rest is up to you regarding temperature and how many puffs to consume. Vaping through a delta 8 cartridge should start to take effect in as little as 90 seconds or up to 30 minutes, making it the perfect type of THC cartridge to microdose and build up a tolerance.

What do delta 8 cartridges taste and feel like?

Delta 8 THC in general is pretty flavorless, considering its extraction process tends to remove the natural terpenes found in delta 8 compounds. There are a few factors to consider regarding flavor and effect, like:

  • Extraction methods. Depending on a laboratory’s method for extractions, that can fully affect the flavor and profile of delta 8. Sometimes there can be slight chemical-like taste based on the solvent possibly used in the extraction, so whatever process it has been exposed to it will reflect that.
  • Brand producing delta 8 strains. Every THC vape company is different and has various methodologies when it comes to how they create products. There are some companies that like to add several flavors to each delta 8 product they create, and to each their own we encourage that! If you prefer sweeter or more artificial flavored vape cartridges, be sure to lookout for flavorful delta 8 vape carts available.
  • Mix of CBD or delta 9 THC. The flavors of delta 8 THC cartridges are affected by the mix of CBD or delta 9 THC, although users tend to agree that delta 8 THC has a pretty unpleasant taste similar to delta 9.

  • Terpenes make a huge difference in the flavor profile of any vape cartridge, regardless if it is delta 8, delta 9 or CBD. Myrcene, caryophyllene, and other terpenes are most commonly found in other plants that we consume like lemongrass, rosemary, basil, and so on. It is always best to check the packaging and label to confirm that terpene flavors were added to your desired vape cart prior to purchasing.

Benefits of vaping delta 8 carts

There are a few advantages to vaping delta 8 carts that should be mentioned, just to make sure that delta 8 vape carts are truly for you. While there are some side effects that can occur from vaping delta 8 carts, the benefits are overwhelmingly evident and should be highly considered.

    Delta 8 high effects

A major reason for using delta 8 THC cartridges is to gain a subtle high without getting too high the way you typically would consume delta 9 THC. We’ve all had days where we would like to smoke something to ease the nerves or sadness without fully blasting off to space, and sometimes with delta 9 THC it is beyond our control when it comes to how high we become. With delta 8 cartridges it is fairly easy to continuously vape without getting ridiculously high, so you can discreetly vape all day consistently. A lot of users love the effects of delta 8 because it is a middle balance between being slightly more potent than CBD but not as strong as delta 9 THC.

    Inflammation relief

A lot of users turn to delta 8 vape carts for relief surrounding inflammation and other similar symptoms, as delta 8 is one way to calm your body and mind down without overdoing it. Of course it is not as powerful or potent as delta 9 THC, delta 8 THC still works by reducing inflammation in the body by stopping receptor signals getting sent to the brain that the body is in actual pain.

    Appetite enhancer

Having trouble eating and just not that into getting a meal down when you need to? Taking a few hits from a delta 8 cartridge will most definitely get those munchie feelings moving so you’re well on your way to feeling full. If you’ve ever been in the position where you just can’t bring yourself to eat a full meal, delta 8 THC is a subtle way to work your way up to intaking more nutrients.

    Nausea relief

The last thing anyone wants to do is regurgitate what is in your stomach, so if you ever feel nauseated - delta 8 vape carts might be the answer. Without getting too high, delta 8 should calm those nerves and active stomach the way chamomile tea would. Instead of using THC to turn up and get crazy high, delta 8 THC should keep those ill feelings at bay long enough to get a meal down and some liquids in you to feel better.

    Are delta 8 cartridges safe?

While vaping might not be the healthiest activity, delta 8 THC cartridges are considerably just as safe as delta 9 THC. You can never overdose on weed or consume too much, and the same goes for delta 8. You might feel sick if you decide to consume way too much, but delta 8 THC is not life threatening. Vaping in general might be more dangerous to your lungs compared to other pastime activities, and you should always look into the pros and cons of vaping if you are new to the cannabis community and unaware of the effects from vaping. It is important to note, though, that delta 8 is a manufactured substance and there is always room for error when working with chemicals. Delta 8 THC has already jumped many legal loopholes similarly to its cousin delta 9, however there is still not as much information about delta 8 THC the way delta 9 does. Many users prefer to use delta 9 because it is highly regulated and for good reason, but sometimes it’s not always possible to get high as a kite, so in comes delta 8. Delta 8 cartridges might cause side effects the way delta 9 THC typically would, but overall these are very mild side effects (like dry mouth, rapid heart rate, etc.) but no matter what, users will never overdose. If you are ever in a position where you feel you might have consumed too much delta 8 THC, increasing CBD intake will balance that right out.

How long will a delta 8 cartridge last?

On average, a delta 8 THC cartridge can survive a shelf life of up to 18 months. Realistically, a vape cartridge should not last this long if you are an avid vape enthusiast, so technically speaking 18 months is quite an amount of time. Depending on how well you care for a delta 8 cartridge, the flavor and potency of each cart will be preserved as long as you maintain a vape pen properly. The aroma and taste is what matters when it comes to using delta 8 THC cartridges, and if you are mistreating any vape pen it will wear out over time along with its performance quality. The only way to ensure the best vape experience is to store each cartridge and vape pen away from heat and humidity, save the battery by turning it off when not in use, and if a delta 8 thc cart begins to leak or show signs of leakage, it is best to dispose immediately to avoid a messy and potentially hazardous situation.

How much delta 8 is in each cart and how to dose it properly?

There are two common vape cartridge sizes, 0.5 mL or 1mL vape carts that are usually available. There are bigger sizes for vape carts but typically users will be drawn towards 1mL cartridges and below as this is quite a good amount of concentrated cannabis. There is no 100% accurate way to properly dose the puff of a vape pen because one puff is not the same all across the board. Whether a vape user takes one second or five seconds to puff on their delta 8 THC vape pen, everyone is different when it comes to the exact intake amount of delta 8 THC.

The recommended dosage for delta 8 THC cartridges is to take your time and do one puff at a time. Vaping concentrated cannabis in general is very potent, so taking a delta 8 pen puff by puff will be the safest way to make sure you don’t take too many hits and start to feel woozy. To properly dose delta 8 THC cartridges, you will need to begin microdosing to test how tolerant you are to this type of cannabinoid. With delta 8 cartridges, try one or two puffs per hour and evaluate how you feel because it can start to take effect as long as 30 minutes after consumption. It is always a good idea to pace yourself because side effects can creep up on you before you even realize, and the point of delta 8 THC cartridges is to relax, not the opposite.

Delta 8 vs CBD vape cart differences

There are a few differences when it comes to delta 8 THC carts and delta 9 THC cartridges, although from first glance both cartridges will generally look the same. While CBD should not show up on a drug test, delta 8 THC can appear on a drug test as it does have the same psychoactive components that delta 9 has. While delta 8 is not nearly as potent as delta 9, it can still get you high while CBD will give no such effects and a better option for those that are looking for mild relief.

The main difference of delta 8 vs CBD vape carts are:

    • There are more studies surrounding CBD use as compared to delta 8 THC
    • Delta 8 might show up on a drug test, CBD will not
    • Delta 8 is typically consumed via edibles or through oil concentrates, while CBD can also be found in pills and gummies
    • Delta 8 might have an impact on daily activities and routine (because of the psychoactive effect) compared to CBD

If you are looking for a subtle way to get through the day sans the high feeling, CBD is more the route for you. But if you need a quick mood booster to calm those nerves and feel a tad bit high (not a lot), delta 8 THC vape carts are an excellent option to get the best of both worlds.

    Don’t be afraid if…

What if my cartridge is leaking?

There might come a time where a delta 8 THC vape cart will start to leak, and you will need to know what to do! Without panicking, there are a few steps you can take to avoid a sticky mess if you ever find yourself in the position of trying to save your delta 8 vape cart. Most times, leaky cartridges can happen when you are refilling your own cartridges but there are some moments that it is inevitable that a cart will leak on you. Some common reasons for a leaking cartridge can be:

  • Leaking into mouthpiece. Sometimes the air hole is flooded and you’ll know when you have to suck extra hard to clear the clogged concentrate buildup. While it can happen from time to time, it is best to be aware of what you’re inhaling when trying to unclog a mouthpiece with leaking concentrate.
  • Leaking from the air hole. This issue actually is a flooding issue, rather than a leaking issue. This will happen prior to leaking into a mouthpiece because the concentrate will cool down and harden, turning into a clogged concentrated pen. Not fun to deal with!
  • Leaking from the bottom. The misaligning of the threading can cause a delta 8 THC cartridge to leak from the bottom. It can either be too tight or screwed on incorrectly and that can actually crack the cartridge which causes a leak.

  • While it is not very hazardous if you accidentally consume delta 8 THC concentrate, it just won’t taste very good. It is best to fix the leak prior to vaping again so you can have a smooth and seamless vape experience.

What do I do if my cartridge is clogged?

It is not the most ideal situation when you go to hit a delta 8 vape pen and it becomes clogged and thus becomes very difficult to smoke. If you ever find yourself in a situation where your cartridge is clogged, there are a few things you can do to remedy the situation and get your delta 8 THC cartridge to start working like brand new! What happens when a cartridge is clogged, is that too much concentrated oil cools, hardens, and clumps together. Some users might think this is the end of the cartridge and a replacement is necessary, but all you need to do is clear the clogged air flow. To do this, try the following:

    • Taking a needle or something similar, poke it into the airflow holes to remove the clogged and clumpy residue
    • If the airflow is not an issue, try to check the mouthpiece for any clogged concentrate there, as it will produce the same issue
    • Check the airflow settings to make sure there is enough air flow as that could be the reason your cartridge is clogging
    • Make sure the cartridge is not screwed on too tightly or it will block the airflows and can also break the cartridge!

It might take a few tries to get the vape cartridge cleared so if things are unsuccessful the first time - keep trying! Things like this happen frequently so if you have a lot of concentrate left in your cartridge you should try to salvage it how you can.

What to do if I think my cartridge is expired? Could it happen?

If you think you might be vaping on an expired delta 8 THC cart, you won’t be in too much danger so not to worry about hurting your health over a stale cartridge. It could easily happen to you, as vape cartridges typically only last up to 18 months if you take care of your cartridges properly. One telling sign of an expired cartridge is the taste - if a cartridge tastes really bad, it is probably no good anymore. There is no upside to consuming an expired product, so it is best that you throw it out when you have the chance, even if you are desperate and needing even one last toke. It is important to note that if a product is expired, it will most likely not contain the benefits it once had. If you come across an expired delta 8 THC vape cartridge, it is better if you dispose of it properly at a hazardous waste site and concealed in a container.

The color of an expired vape pen will change color, from a light brown color to a much darker color so you can physically see if a cartridge is expired or not. Heat and oxygen are to thank for the changing color, and when its shelf life is up this is an extremely easy indication of an expired cartridge. If you are ever in doubt, puff it out! You can always conduct a vape test since expired concentrated THC oil shouldn’t hurt you.

What if I think I overdosed on delta 8?

While there is no scientific evidence to support the possibility of overdosing on delta 8 THC, it is possible to have a bad experience when taking too much delta 8. If you take too much delta 8 THC, you might feel overwhelming emotions that might become amplified from smoking too much. While this often happens when consuming delta 9 THC, it can still happen with delta 8 THC and you should know what to do if you ever start to feel bad.

Luckily, CBD can save the day quickly and efficiently, as taking CBD to counteract delta 8 and delta 9 effects will sober you up and quickly. CBD is great to have around because if you are ever feeling too intoxicated, it is so easy to consume it and wait up to 30 minutes for it to take effect. With other remedies, you truly don’t know when the relief will hit and that can add to the anxious and overwhelming emotions of being too high. Again, there has been no studies to support showing there is any possibility of overdosing on delta 8 but if you ever feel you vaped too much, you now know what to do to seek relief. If delta 8 THC effects are a bit too much for you, you can always resort to only using CBD instead of delta 8 or delta 9. CBD is a safe way to relax and unwind without worrying about experiencing any type of psychoactive effects. If you feel like you could be too sensitive when it comes to consuming THC, CBD is definitely more up your alley and the right speed.

    Can you vape…

    Delta 8 THC oil?

Delta 8 comes in many forms, and delta 8 THC oil can also be known as tinctures. While it might be mistaken for delta 8 distillate, these are not made with the same types of carrier oils and will not absorb well if inserted into a vape cartridge. Delta 8 THC tinctures are not meant to be smoked or vaped and you will notice very quickly by the device’s performance. Delta 8 THC oil or delta 8 tinctures are typically meant to be absorbed under the tongue, and can often last a lot longer than delta 8 THC carts with a shelf life of up to two years. It is very important to make the distinction between delta 8 tinctures and delta 8 THC vape carts as they are totally different and meant to produce two different types of highs. Tinctures will usually be a full head and body high and typically hits hard like an edible, compared to delta 8 cartridges that allow for a buildable high.

    Delta 8 THC hemp flower?

Technically if you have a dry herb vaporizer it is possible to vape delta 8 THC hemp flower, and we encourage you to use your favorite delta 8 THC hemp flower strain with one of the following vape devices that can be used with dry herb and sometimes concentrate too, the best of both worlds in one compact gadget!

  • Arizer Solo II Vaporizer Vape. This is a top of the line portable dry herb vaporizer that can convert delta 8 THC hemp flower into a luxurious vape experience. While on the pricey side, this portable vape device is worth the investment if it’s an absolute must for you to smoke dry herbs and concentrate.

  • DaVinci IQ2 Vape. This one of a kind, dual-use vaporizer delivers a much cooler vape experience while enhancing flavor profiles. If you are heavily into microdosing, the feature for tracking dose per draw and dose per session would be an incredible asset to accurately managing each smoke session.

  • PAX Labs Pax3 Vape Complete Kit. The device that screams sleek and discreet, the Pax Labs Pax 3 Complete Vape Kit is as portable as they come. Whip this out for dry herbs or for concentrates, with everything you need included in the kit to really commit to the vape life.

  • Delta 8 THC Concentrates?

Vape cartridges are actually filled with delta 8 THC distillate that gets heated up and converted into vapor. It is important to note that delta 8 THC concentrate is usually already pre-filled in a cartridge as compared to delta 8 THC oils that are in tincture bottles. Delta 8 THC concentrates are specifically put through a process with carrier oils that we are able to inhale, versus delta 8 THC oils are not compatible interacting with the lungs and could cause issues if attempted to vape tinctures or other oils that are not purely concentrated for vaping. Delta 8 THC concentrates have risen in popularity similar to its delta 9 cousin, but those that are more fans of a subtle high have been converting to delta 8 THC users. Easily carry a few delta 8 THC carts with you and switch to different strains throughout the day thanks to its compact and travel-friendly build.

    Delta 9 THC?

Of course delta 9 THC can be vaped, and trustworthy cartridges are typically found in local dispensaries but it is best to verify through certification first. Delta 9 THC concentrate is extremely potent so it is best to have a higher tolerance for THC content if graduating from using CBD or delta 8 THC. Depending on the strain, delta 9 THC can have high amounts of THC content combined with other terpenes and a carrier oil to make into a delta 9 THC cart. A delta 9 THC cart will look exactly the same as a delta 8 cart so it is best to know the difference if you intend to have both on you or in your rotation. Delta 9 THC concentrate is also a buildable high so it is in your best interest (especially if new to vaping delta 9 THC) to take it one puff at a time to properly measure your high.

    FAQ

    Are delta 8 cartridges legal?

If delta 8 THC derives from hemp plants, then it is considered federally legal with the absence of too much delta 9 THC. The legal limit for delta 9 THC found in delta 8 products to be under the legal limit is 0.3% delta 9 THC levels. With an increasingly growing user base for delta 8 cartridges, individual states have separate laws regarding delta 8 THC.

Delta 8 cartridges are currently legal in the following 30 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and in Washington D.C.

Delta 8 cartridges are currently illegal in the following 14 states: Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, New York, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Utah, and Washington.

While other states are unclear or regulated the same as recreational cannabis is in that specific state, the growing number of delta 8 THC users will continue to expand regardless. Please check for your state and note that the following states we are unable to ship delta 8 THC products to: AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, KY, ID, IA, MI, MS, MT, ND, NY, RI, UT, VT, WA.

Is there an age requirement to purchase a delta 8 cartridge?

A delta 8 cartridge can only be purchased by individuals 21 years or older due to a law that prohibits minors from buying vape products. Similar to the way you need to confirm you are over the age of 21 years old to enter our website, cannabis and vape laws are highly regulated to avoid minors from illegally purchasing. Even though it might not be a big deal to you if under the age of 21, understand these laws have been placed strictly and for a reason so as a company we try to do our best to abide by the rules and make everyone happy. Similar to purchasing alcohol or even upon entering a cannabis dispensary, it is required that you show proof of identification to show you are over the age of 21 years. For the same reason, alcohol is heavily regulated by law and to best protect users that are underage.

There is actually no legal law about delta 8 THC being restricted by age, but if delta 8 THC comes in a vape product it is protected by United States federal laws to avoid consumption by a minor. Vaping is similar to smoking and can pose potential health risks, so these laws have been put in place to highlight possible risks.

Can you take delta 8 cartridge on a plane?

It is possible to take delta 8 cartridges on a plane but it must be in your carry-on luggage! If you are a passenger wanting to bring any kind of vape device with you while traveling in the air, you cannot pack your vape device in your check-in baggage as it could potentially cause issues when being thrown around in your bag. Both electronic cigarettes and vaping devices have special instructions for flights to put in your carry-on bags or in your pocket, and there should be no more than 100 Wh lithium battery. Depending on where you are traveling to, it is best to understand the laws in whicher state or country you are going to. We highly suggest not traveling with any kind of THC content when traveling overseas to avoid a potential situation in the case you were unaware of the THC laws there. If traveling domestically and especially to a place where delta 8 THC is legal, you should be more than welcome to pack your vape pen in your carry-on bag so you can take a few puffs the second you are cleared through to your destination and out of the airport!

Do delta 8 vape carts appear on a drug test?

Realistically, delta 8 THC should appear on a drug test if you are a daily user or consistently using several times a week. While delta 8 might pass state legal laws, if you vape enough delta 8, the THC content will still show up on a drug test that is looking for cannabis in a person’s system. Drug tests really aren’t advanced in that sense to understand that someone was using delta 8 THC instead of delta 9 THC, as it will only pick up the compound it is looking for - THC.

If you know you will be drug tested and it is imperative that you pass, it is best to detox yourself and refrain from using any kind of THC. The longer you go without consuming THC, the better chance you have of completely detoxing the body. Every person is different, depending on how much they use as compared to their height, weight, diet, exercise, hydration levels, and so on. If you are needing to detox, intaking water (in healthy amounts) will soon start to flush out your system and jumpstart a detoxification process. There is no guaranteed guide to confirm how long it will take a person to detox, but the sooner you try the better chance you have of passing that test!

How to check the quality of delta 8 carts?

Even if you purchase from a trustworthy site and buy brands familiar to you, as a customer you have the right to inspect your products however you please to make sure it is of the highest quality and exactly what you paid for. First and foremost, quality delta 8 carts will be from brands that have lab test results available to show exactly what is being consumed. Delta 8 carts should also be translucent rather than cloudy, and can often take on an amber brown or even pinkish color depending on the process it underwent in the lab. Seeing a translucent delta 8 cart will also show the purity of the product so do your research and trust what you’re seeing along with the lab test certificate that should always be available.

From the moment of screwing into the vape battery, turning on and inhaling - the quality of hitting a vape pen the first few times will show you the condition of the cartridge and whether it is time to replace it or not. If you feel like a delta 8 cartridge is not hitting well, you are most likely right. While it might not contribute to the lack of quality in a delta 8 cart, it can definitely guide you in terms of knowing if you need to fix your pen or you need to switch it out.
